Most placement tests do NOT allow a calculator. Read through the study guide. .studyguide
I found the arithemic problems number 2 to be hard. The last questions I didn't know what that symbol meant. If i had a calculator I would be able to do a lot more of the problems quicker.
I think that the algebra problems were the hardest because i wasn't able to use a calculater. We were all taught to do simple math on paper but as we got older were aloud to use calculaters for harder math. If these tests are for college students why arn't they aloud to use a calculater?
I thought i was getting all of the arithmetic problems right but then they turned out as being wrong, it felt different not using a calculator and if i was using a calculator i could probably get more accurate answers.
I did not like these problems because I don't think that it was extremely accurate and could be more accurate with calculators because I know how to do the problems, but cannot find the exact correct answer without using a calculator. One example of what could've been a simple problem but was not because I was unable to use a calculator and got it wrong was "¾ x=1/2".
The arithmetic was alright and Algebra wasn't all too bad. It was just alot of numbers and a bit of confusion initially. I learned i should stop using a calculator because my skills were extremely slow
I did not like these because you coulden't use a calculator. And i need one to do some of the hard problems

ReplyDeleteIt was difficult because you can't use a calculator for easy problems that you can quickly just punch in. Also, some of the problems made no sense.
